Why it deserves to win “Best Song”: Because Yerxa revolutionized the “Best Song” competition’s traditional practices by openly campaigning for Best Song IN HIS SONG. It is the musical equivalent of those ads that Melissa Leo took out in “Variety” before the Oscars. He might as well have pointed his breasts at the microphone while singing “Consider…Yerxa!”
Heidi Brander and Dean McArthur :: Elf Workers’ Anthem
This is my song for Heidi’s annual Christmas album. It’s about labour issues facing elves in the North Pole and set to the tune of LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem. After four years of recording this I finally learned that rapping is the solution to my horrible voice. I think Heidi really captures the trash tones of that girl who’s going to be in the new Pussycat Dolls.
I just found a picture of Mike Yerxa in highschool. And yes, it’s as incredible as you’d imagine.
Help Dean McArthur, and I reach our goal. We are attempting to raise money/ awareness around youth homelessness in Canada. Hook us up, folks. Watch the video Donate at the link provided. Any number helps
